A first official summary of the final results of the dyes migration project, conducted in collaboration with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), was published in April 2026. One of the key conclusions is that the migration model developed by the German authority, based on reference samples provided by ETAD member companies, offers a reliable estimation of typical migration levels observed in market samples. In addition, the analysis of the potential presence of restricted aromatic amines did not identify any consumer health risk.
