Position Paper on the Trade Union Priority List
On April, 27
th 2009, ETAD wrote to the European Trades Union Confederation and the European Trades Union Institute and expressed its concern about the inclusion of C.I. Pigment Orange 13 (CAS 3520-72-7) and C.I. Pigment Yellow 14 (CAS 5468-75-7) into the Trade Union Priority List for REACH Authorisation, based on their supposed IARC classification as 2A carcinogens (possibly carcinogenic to humans). After having thoroughly checked the corresponding information about the two substances, ETAD found out that, as a matter of fact, both are not on the IARC list and, additionally, there not seems to be any other sound scientific reasons for their inclusion. Therefore, ETAD is convinced that they should be removed from the Trade Union Priority List. The complete text of the ETAD position paper can be found
